Chongqing officials have reviewed the "Chongqing Computer Information System Security Protection Rule" and have made some changes.

The rule requires computer users to register with the municipal public security department within 30 days after their broadband service is launched.

After the most recent revision, only Internet service organizations, Internet access units and information service providers need to register at the public security department, and ordinary family users do not need to do so.
