In response to a Chinese report that he would resign from Google (GOOG), Google Greater China co-president Zhou Shaoning now tells local media that the report is a rumor and he will not comment on it.
Zhou joined Google as the president of sales and business development on October 25, 2005 and signed a one-year contract. He has refused to say anything about his contract's extension with Google, which is due to expire later this month.
Earlier, local media reported that Zhou was going to leave the post because of the unsatisfactory performance of Google within the China market.
