China's C2C Market To Top CNY23.1 Billion In 2006

According to the statistics from research firm Analysys International, the transaction volume of China's consumer-to-consumer (C2C) market in the first half of this year reached CNY11.1 billion, which was an increase of 125% compared with last year and it is estimated that the volume will reach CNY23.1 billion by the end of this year.
In the firm's latest report "China C2C Market User Survey Report 2006", Analysys says that China's C2C market transaction will expand gradually in the next three years, and from this year on, it will keep growing at an annual compound rate of 32.4%. It will top CNY23.1 billion by the end of this year and CNY45.6 billion in 2008.
The e-commerce virtual industry chain of China is expected to be further improved and e-commerce websites' role in logistics delivery enhanced as the C2C pattern is introduced into B2C.
In 2005, China had up to 37.87 million C2C registered users, increasing by 130.9% compared with that of the previous year. It is expected that the registered user number will reach 88 million by 2008.
