China's Ministry of Culture has formally initiated a plan for upgrading the digital content of the Internet cafe industry in order to meet the growing demands of the netcafe industry and carry out effective management.
Li Wei, a director from the Ministry of Culture, says that most of the software adopted at netcafes are pirated and a few netcafe even provide unhealthy content to netizens, which has caused a lot of social problems, so it is urgent to upgrade the industry's digital content.
The Culture and Market Development Center of the Ministry of Culture will cooperate with a number of technology service suppliers including Goyoo Networks Inc and SOOTV to jointly create a netcafe digital content platform.
Li says that they will take three steps to ensure the smooth construction of the platform, which include building a digital content management pattern, a netcafe digital content platform and a digital content release and monitoring mechanism.
