According to Beijing Municipality's Informationization Plan for the 11th Five-Year Plan period, all netcafes across the city will be installed with cameras within this year to help monitor their management.
During the 11th Five-Year Plan period, Beijing will strengthen market management and crack down on the illegal behavior such as spreading bad Internet information, sending spam or unsolicited messages and violating online copyrights.
Dong Tengfei, a director from Beijing Municipal Information Office, says that the city has been straightening out the netcafe market since May this year and will try to install cameras within the year to realize real-time monitoring of all the netcafes.
At present, work is being done to integrate all the Big Brother camera resources, and they should start implementation soon.
