In cooperation with local software manufacturers, the Xi'an Municipal Copyright Protection Department has set up three legal software pre-installation service centers to provide legal software installation services to consumers.
The reason for XMCPD to establish these service centers is that it has found out via a survey that many consumers in the city are willing to use legal software so long as the price of such software is not so high.
So far, the parties have jointly launched two types of legal software packages which are respectively priced at CNY99 and CNY119. The three pre-installation sites have been located in Xi'an Jiaoda Computer Mall, Cybermart and Saga Computer Mall, respectively.
