Changgong Makes Major Internal Structure Adjustment

    Zhao Yong, president of Changhong, a premier electronics manufacturer in China, has conducted a major adjustment of its management framework by transferring many responsibilities to lower levels.

    A middle level manager from Changhong tells local media that Changhong made the adjustment in the middle of October and divided itself into four strategic units including Black Home Appliance (Multimedia), White Home Appliances, Accessories and Overseas Business. In addition, it has made Changhong Jiahua, Guohong Communications, Hongwei Electronics, Information Technology and Digital Technology parallel with the four SBUs.

    Changhong adopted a new pattern for the SBU, regarding each of them as an independant branch. Each of the SBU in Changhong has a separate president and a board of directors and the president of the four SBUs are Guo Dexuan, Li Jin, Zheng Guangqing and Wu Jiang, respectively.

    It is expected that this reform will help the company remove the redundant management and improve its operational efficiency.
