Chinese technology research firm iResearch reports that automobile online advertising was CNY23.03 million in January 2006 and this number jumped 120% to CNY50.63 million in October 2006.
Though 50.63 million is still quite low, the automobile industry has become a new spot in the China online advertising market in 2006. Driven by the Beijing International Automobile Exhibition, automobile online advertising has exceeded the real estate sector and has taken the leading position in the online advertising market.
iResearch says the increase of automobile online advertising benefits from the prosperity of the entire Chinese automobile industry.
With the development of the Chinese economy and increase of Chinese private automobile market, the competition of automobile industry will be fiercer and iResearch says the cost of automobile online advertising will continue to grow.
