The latest Analysys RFID market survey report shows that the overall scale of China's RFID market reached CNY778 million in the third quarter of 2006, an increase of 30% compared with the same period of last year.
The report, the "Quarterly Survey of Chinese RFID Market in the Third Quarter of 2006″, says the RFID market increase during the third quarter of 2006 was mainly due to the popularization of the second generation of ID cards, whose total volume is expected to reach 200 million by the end of this year.
The growth was also attributed to the introduction of RFID tags production line by a number of domestic manufacturers. Seven manufacturers, including NXP, Shenzhen Invengo and Zebra, have accounted for over 60% of the total RFID market share in China.
