China's Ministry of Information Industry has listed embedded software, basic software and information security software as the main focuses of software development during the 11th Five-year Plan Period.
China's electronics manufacturing market scale reached CNY345 million in 2005 and ranked second and its production of electronic products ranked first in the global market, which created a huge business opportunity for the development of embedded software.
Among the country's top ten software enterprises, six are embedded software product manufacturers.
Apart from embedded software, basic software and information security software are also the emphases of China's software development in the next five years.
