China's Ministry of Science and Technology has put forward a new strategy for the development of country's software industry.
MST's new strategy focuses on making breakthroughs in cutting-edge software technology, driven by market demand and organizing innovation.
In order to transform China from a giant software country to a powerful software nation, MST plans to carry out the strategy in key areas, including, strengthening the study of software technology innovation and industrialization development and making guidelines for software industry and promote industry development; promoting software technology innovation and industrialization through targeting the applications in main industries; consolidating the research and development of cutting-edge technology and basic software to seize an advantageous position for future software innovation; pushing forward innovation on software management and creating an ideal environment for software technology and industrialization; and actively carrying out the software talent strategy.
