Canada Inks Chinese Agreement For Technology Cooperation

An agreement for science and technology cooperation between Canada and China has been signed in Beijing.
On behalf of China's Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of International Trade of Canada, Minister Xu Guanhua and Minister David Emerson, respectively, signed the agreement. Xu and Emerson jointly declared plans to set up a China-Canada fund for financing the bilateral cooperation on science and technology innovation and commercialization under the framework of the agreement.
The focuses of cooperation cover energy, environment, medical health, life science, agricultural and biological products.
This signing marks the 100th intergovernmental S&T agreement signed by the Chinese government.
