Guangdong Unicom, an affiliate of China Unicom, has announced plans to adopt one-way charging for all its services from February 1, 2007.
Guangdong Unicom says that it has already started an answer-to-call no-charge policy for its Ruyi Wanzhong Card users and from February 1, it will adopt this policy for the rest of its services. China Unicom also says that it will make its price 10% cheaper than its competitors while launching the one-way charging.
Last week, Guangdong Mobile launched a free answering service for its Gotone brand and planned to implement the service across the entire Guangdong province in February.
