The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company has signed with Beijing to help the city expand its 800MHz wireless political affairs network capacity to better serve the 2008 Olympic Games.
This capacity expansion is the third phase of the network construction.
Beijing's 800MHz wireless political affairs network is supervised by the Beijing Municipal Informationization Work Office and constructed and managed by Beijing Zhengtong Network Communications Company. EADS is responsible for providing wireless terminal equipment, network layout and related support services for this network.
Upon the completion of its capacity expansion, the network will be able to provide seamless and safe wireless communication services for all Olympic games venues across the city as well as for the common users in Beijing and the surrounding areas, and it will be the largest, most advanced and multi-functional attemper communications network in China.
