WLAN Market Reached US$62.42 Million In First Three Quarters Of 2006

The latest report from IDC shows that China's WLAN equipment output value reached US$62.42 million in the first three quarters of 2006.
The report says that in the first three quarters of last year, enterprise users and family users were still the main consumer groups for WLAN, and their consumption accounted for 63.7% of the total.
In the meantime, the Chinese government's use of WLAN was also on the increase and the use of WLAN in manufacturing, retail and medical services grew by 130% from 2005's figures.
The report shows that middle and small enterprises and SOHO users will be the main driving force for the growth of WLAN this year in the country.
