Jiangsu Signs Technology Cooperation Agreement With Finland

Finland is seeking more opportunities for technology growth in China with the inking of a recent provincial deal.
To deepen substantial cooperation between China's Jiangsu Province and Finland in research, innovation and commercialization of technology products, Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation recently signed a memorandum of science and technology cooperation in Nanjing's Jinling Hotel.
Zhang Taolin, Vice Governor of Jiangsu, held discussions with with Petri Peltonen, Director General of the Department of Science and Technology of Finland's Ministry of Trade and Industry; Veli Pekka Saarnivaara, Director General of Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation; and Paivi Hiltunen Toivio, Consul-general of the Finnish Consulate General in Shanghai, as well as other members of the Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation delegation, and attended the signing ceremony.
There is no word yet on the expected amount of montary contributions each side plan to devote to this deal.
