China's Ministry of Science and Technology says 53 key projects and 88 intergovernmental cooperation projects were completed and were approved last year.
These are all in accordance with the 2006 arrangements for the acceptance of projects of the International Program for Cooperation in Science and Technology.
Among them, 43 projects, each with over CNY500,000 of financial aid, were checked on-site and 63 projects having under CNY500,000 of financial aid were checked through submitted forms. After examination and verification by relevant departments, all 106 participating projects passed the acceptance checks.
In order to strengthen supervision and management of the projects, MOST says the International Program for Cooperation in Science and Technology plans to carry out online expert acceptance checks of projects with a financial aid below CNY500,000 in the future.
