Local media report that the Agricultural Bank of China, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and China Construction Bank are brewing plans to create an online joint transaction platform to extend their services and share resources.
Yu Jin, general manager of the e-banking department at the Agricultural Bank of China, says that with the further development of the Internet, each commercial bank will move their services from the traditional counters to online areas. Yu says these commercial banks will naturally deal with other business through the online platform as security levels increase for online transactions.
Yu says that the banks can enter any e-commerce sector they like, but they will first extend their service to the ticket and education sectors and then slowly build into new industries.
