Today is International Consumer Rights Day, and fighting counterfeit goods has become a hot topic for the ongoing National People's Conference and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
Many deputies at the two conferences, including Wang Qinping and Zhou Furen, have called on efforts to be made to guarantee the quality of goods supplied to consumers and to address other issues related to people's lives.
Of all the measures put forward by the deputies, Xia Guohong, a deputy from China Aviation Technology and Trade Group, says that technological means should be adopted to keep track of the source of fake goods in order to solve the problem at the source. He suggests using RFID and other technologies to control the quality and movement of goods around China.
Xia says that when the technological means is coupled with the government's policy support, the battle against fake goods will surely succeed and normal market order can be maintained.
