Motorola (MOT) says it has become the first handset manufacturer in China to support China Mobile's (CHL) news content service.
The service, called Express News, is a feature that lets consumers get the news, sports, entertainment, and other information they want directly from their mobile device home screen. The new experience will launch on three of Motorola's hottest models: MOTOKRZR K1, MOTORIZR Z3, and MOTOSLVR L71. Using Express News, based on SCREEN3 technology, news is pushed to users.
"We are very excited to be the first company to support Express News from China Mobile, and it shows once again that Motorola is on the cutting-edge of technology and fashion," said Motorola's Michael Tatelman, corporate vice-president, and president, Mobile Devices Business, Asia Pacific. "With Express News consumers can now get the latest news directly from their handset screens, enjoying the freedom of a brand-new mobile experience on the most stylish devices available."
