eBay China says that it has reached an agreement with its Internet auction competitor Taobao.com to jointly fight against online account transaction crime in China.
Some users sell online accounts on Taobao.com or eBay, and this kind of account transaction has formed one the most important bases for online fraud. eBay China and Taobao.com have agreed to delete a seller's information once that user tries to conduct this type of transaction.
A representative from eBay China says that online crime has become a problem for the industry and it has seriously blocked the development of e-commerce. Apart from Taobao.com, eBay China says that it will also cooperate with some Internet service providers and local law enforcement departments.
