Beijing Xicheng District Court has received a petition from ChineseAll.com who accuse Chinese telecom operator China Tietong of violating its copyright.
ChineseAll.com says that it is bringing China Tietong to court with the help of the Chinese Online Anti-piracy Alliance. It says that China Tietong has provided 14 books of seven writers whose copyright belongs to ChineseAll.com. ChineseAll.com says that it sent a legal letter to China Tietong in January this year, but has not received any response, and it therefore has filed this lawsuit to stop the infringement and to have Tietong pay more than CNY300,000 in compensation.
The Intellectual Property Right Division is a newly added section at Beijing Xicheng District Court. The Chinese Online Anti-piracy Alliance says the foundation of this new section will be useful to solve the increasingly large amount of copyright disputes.
