Google (GOOG) announced they will be holding a worldwide developer day on May 31, 2007, and the live-streamed event will happen simultaneously in Mountain View, Sao Paulo, Madrid, London, Paris, Hamburg, Moscow, Beijing, Tokyo and Sydney.
The day itself will vary in format from location to location, but the goal is the same: bring Google's developer community closer together and share Google's knowledge. In Beijing, it will feature Guido Van Rossum, Google software engineer and creator of the Python programming language, and the event will be held at the Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing.
This is the first time that China has participated in Google's Developer Day. Apart from the common content shared among the other regions on that day, special topics on Linux and Open Source will be added in China.
