Following the preferential phone-answering service that it launched for its Gotone, Shenzhou Xing and M-Zone users, China Mobile's (CHL) Beijing subsidiary has now once again adjusted the fees for each of these brands with a focus on long-distance calls.
Beijing Mobile has adjusted the calling fee and roaming fee for both domestic and international long-distance calls. For Gotone users, it has launched a business traveler plan which states that the minimum cost for answering any domestic long-distance call (except answering phones in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) is CNY0.25 per minute, and it is free to answer Beijing local calls.
For international calls, Beijing Mobile offers preferential policies in 31 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, Britain, France, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, and the minimum fee for calling these countries and regions is CNY0.8 per minute when 12593 is added before the telephone number. The cost for the remaining countries and regions is a unified price of CNY4.6 per minute. This service is available to users of all Beijing Mobile's three affiliated brands.
In addition, Beijing Mobile has reduced the international roaming fee to CNY5.99 per minute.
