As part of its efforts to limit online pornographic information, China's Ministry of Information Industry will blacklist illegal Chinese websites that provide porn and illegal sex information.
MII said it would list illegal websites that have been closed down or punished and publish the list to the public and ask basic operators and Internet service providers not to provide any service for these websites. At the same time, it will keep a record of the behaviors of those Internet service operators.
In the campaign, MII plans to close down a group of Chinese porn websites and punish a batch of companies that provide relevant service for these websites and completely get rid of those Internet service providers that do not have legal business licenses.
MII said that after it terminates the services of these illegal websites, it will hand them over to the local police departments for punishment.
