The China Association for Standardization has approved and issued the China Digital Multimedia Broadcast mobile TV handset standard as the association standard, CSA158-2007.
The new standard is based on DAB, a recommended standard of the radio, film and television department and AVS, a national standard released by the Standardization Administration of China.
The China Association for Standardization will submit the standard, which was mainly drafted by CECT, the operating subsidiary of Qiao Xing Mobile, to the Standardization Administration of the People's Republic of China as one of the candidates of the national standard for mobile TV handsets. A decision should then be reached in a few months.
