Six Chinese departments, including the National Anti-porn and Illegal Content Office, Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of Construction, have jointly issued a circular, asking legal officials at various government levels to adopt a timetable to focus on straightening out the illegal sales activities of video disk vendors and sellers operating without a business license.
The circular requires the officials to learn about when and where these vendors carry out illegal sales activities before they adopt a flexible timetable so that the activities can focus best on efficiently eliminating the illegal activity.
The six departments will set up joint-chair meeting mechanism to communicate and coordinate periodically in the hope of eliminating the sales of pirate disks and other fake publications from all cities in the country within this year.
