Tom Eachnet will launch a new C2C platform in July 2007 and by that time it will move all the goods of eBay Eachnet users to the new platform, which will bear a new domain name, and completely separate the C2C business from eBay China's platform.
According to a representative from eBay Eachnet quoted in local media, Tom Eachnet has decided to use the domain name Eachnet.com for the new C2C platform, after soliciting opinions from their users. Tom Eachnet will charge some fees for using the new platform, but the details have not been worked out yet.
In December last year, eBay and Tom Online announced plans to invest US$60 million to set up the joint venture Tom Eachnet, in which eBay owns 49% of the stake and Tom Online has the rest.
