UTStarcom (UTSI) has announced the departure of Wu Ying, executive vice president and chief executive officer of UTStarcom China.
In a statement made following the company's announcement of his departure, Wu said that he was bewildered by the company's board of directors who were eager to have him leave before carefully discussing a strategy for the company's next step of development. He told local media he felt regret for the Board of Directors' decision to have him go.
He said as one of the founders of UTStarcom, he would take initiatives to seek the maximum profit for the company's shareholders and do his best to help the company go through the difficulties.
