Hitachi, Oracle Sell Anti-piracy Tags In China

Japanese electronic giant Hitachi and American software company Oracle will jointly sell wireless tags that can identify fake goods in the China market.
Fake goods and pirated products have caused many disputes between China and its global trade partners. The new IC tag is expected to help China fight against rampant counterfeiting.
Hitachi and Oracle hope China will use the IC tag to embed tickets for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2010 World Expo in Shanghai to help prevent any fake tickets.
The tag is made by Hitachi and each of them is worth about CNY10.
