Dell (DELL) China has launched a study center, the fourth of its kind in China, in Dalian, Liaoning Province.
Dell launched the first study center in China in May last year for the purpose of reducing the digital gap among youth. The previous three Dell Study Centers are located in Beijing, Shanghai and Xiamen.
Dell's Dalian Study Center is located in the Ershilibao and Taishan Community of Dalian Jinzhou District. Dell China has provided 32 Dimension desktop computers, one Dell brand server and two exchangers for the center, and volunteers from Dell's Dalian Branch will spend their spare time teaching computer skills at the center. In the coming three years, Dell China will also provide a series of system maintenance services via this center.
According to local media, Dell chose to locate the study center in this area of Dalian because there are many migrant workers' children and low-income families living there.
