Chongqing Mobile Prepares To Upgrade Business Intelligence System

    AsiaInfo (ASIA) has won a contract from Chongqing Mobile, a major subsidiary of China Mobile, to expand and upgrade its business intelligence system.

    "Business Intelligence software is playing an increasingly important role in the strategy development process of telecom operators worldwide," said Steve Zhang, president and CEO of AsiaInfo. "Our industry leading BI software solution gives operators the ability to analyze market trends and user preferences so they can differentiate their service offerings and make better informed strategic decisions."

    Chongqing Mobile's existing BI system, which currently supports over 10 million subscribers, was deployed by AsiaInfo in 2003. Under the new agreement, AsiaInfo will expand and upgrade the BI system to meet rapid subscriber growth and increasing demands for subscriber data analysis.
