Mobile games publisher Glu Mobile (GLUU) has opened a development studio in Beijing.
"It has always been our philosophy that our success as a global publisher depends on addressing and serving the needs of regional markets. Establishing a local presence in these key regions is critical to our strategy as it will allow us to deepen relationships within each market," said Greg Ballard, president and CEO, Glu Mobile. "In addition, we see tremendous opportunity in China, and establishing Glu's third development studio in Beijing will allow us to strengthen our internal development and porting capabilities and create content for both the western and Asian markets."
The Beijing studio will be headed by Kim Daniel Arthur, formerly the head of Glu's studio in London. With the addition of offices in Spain and Italy and Glu's Beijing studio, the company now has nine offices worldwide.
