China Post has unveiled its long-awaited third-party e-payment platform Wang Hui Tong.
The Wang Hui Tong card is being sold at more than 3000 booths across Beijing and is initially being used to pay for online gaming.
Different from other e-payment platforms like 99bill and Alipay, the Wang Hui Tong card looks like a games point card with specifications and logos of the relevant games it supports on the back. But different from games point cards, this card can be used to add value at post offices around China's capital city.
Zheng Li, a representative from Wang Hui Tong, says this service symbolizes that China Post has entered the online game market, and in the future the company would cooperate with more game operators to further expand its service range.
