AsiaInfo Readies For China Mobile's Next Generation IP

AsiaInfo (ASIA) has signed a contract with China Mobile to service the deployment of its next generation IP infrastructure.
Under the terms of the agreement, AsiaInfo will provide advanced professional services to the project including making technical specifications, supervising integration, network design, network traffic analysis, as well as network performance evaluation and optimization.
"We are very pleased to act as strategic consultants for the development of China Mobile's next generation IP infrastructure," said Steve Zhang, president and CEO of AsiaInfo. "As a pioneer in China's internet development, AsiaInfo has accumulated rich expertise in IP networking technologies and we are confident that we can help China Mobile establish world-class IP infrastructure to support its next generation services."
The network will support voice, data, and video services, and will serve as the carrying network for China mobile's future 3G, NGN, and enterprise VPN services. It will adhere to world-class standards for service quality, reliability, and security.
