AsiaInfo (ASIA) has inked a deal with Zhejiang Mobile to optimize its Business Operation Support System.
AsiaInfo deployed the existing BOSS system at Zhejiang Mobile in 2002 to support 10 million subscribers. In the five years since then, Zhejiang Mobile's subscriber base has more than tripled to approximately 34 million subscribers and its BOSS system is currently the single largest in China and the second largest in the world.
Under the agreement, AsiaInfo will restructure and optimize the BOSS system to allow Zhejiang Mobile to continue to rapidly expand its subscriber base. The complex optimization project will be implemented without interruption to ongoing operations or subscriber data.
