News travels quickly on the Chinese Internet, and a new photo depicting a burning Dell (DELL) laptop battery is causing consternation for the computer company.
A photo of the battery explosion from a Dell laptop computer has been republished by different online media in China. The initial publisher of the photo said that the accident happened in an office building in Shanghai.
The photo shows that the fire occurred on September 3 when the battery of a laptop computer with a Dell trademark exploded and caught fire. It is said that flame was about 10 centimeters high. A spokesperson from Dell China has said that the battery under question was one Dell recalled last year and Dell would consult with the customer for a solution to this accident.
