Haier Will Set Up Rural Computer Production Base In Henan

Shi Jichun, vice governor of Henan Province, has told local media that Haier will set up a joint venture company with Henan Zhongcheng Computer Company to produce computers for rural consumers.
The new company will reportedly be able to produce more than 300,000 computers each year and it is expected to yield 1 million practical computers for rural residents in three and a half years.
According to the report, Intel will offer big support to Haier in the production of this kind of computer, providing it with Intel processors and necessary technology. The first batch of Haier' new rural computers is expected to come out around October 1.
