A representative from Guangdong Mobile has told local media that Guangdong Mobile has set up a recording mechanism in cooperation with Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department to force out the point-to-point unwanted short messages.
Guangdong Mobile has also strengthened the campaign against pornographic information sent via Chinese WAP sites and says it will continue to monitor traffic for this type of information.
Statistics from the mobile company reveal that in the first seven months of this year, they have punished more than 600 service providers and terminated cooperation with about 200 of them. Most of these service providers are said to have spread "unhealthy" content.
