Days after doing a deal with Dell (DELL), Gome has now signed a memorandum of understanding with Microsoft (MSFT) China in Beijing to jointly promote computers pre-installed with legitimate Windows systems and other Microsoft products.
According to their agreement, Gome will promote the sale of computers with legitimate Windows in more than 760 of its chain stores across the country. The electronic retailer also promises not to sell any computer with pirated operating systems within its stores, or those of Yongle, which it recently acquired.
From October 1, Gome will begin to vigorously promote the selling of computer with legal Windows operating systems. The parties will also carry out a series of in-depth cooperation on marketing, sales promotions, advertisements and sales training.
Earlier this year, Gome and Microsoft entered cooperation on the promotion of Microsoft's Vista system.
