Zhuang Zhengsong, senior vice president of China HP (HPQ) and general manager of China HP's Personal Systems Group has decided to soon resign, according to media reports.
Zhuang's departure is a surprise to the industry, for since he took the position as general manager of PSG in May 2006, the company has achieved good performance in the Chinese PC market and has launched many other PC initiatives this year, including the opening of a netcafe chain and the establishment of a second manufacturing plant in China.
Local media is full of rumors that Zhuang is likely to join Dell or Acer after resigning from HP, but there is so far no comment made by any side.
