News from the Ministry of Information Industry is that Chinese government is studying the feasibility of having Chinese electronics companies set up industrial parks in Russia and Vietnam.
Wang Bingke, deputy director of the Economic System Reform and Economic Operation Division of MII, has told local media that a Chinese delegation is now inspecting areas in Russia and a second one will soon leave for Vietnam, to discuss with the local governments of the respective countries on the establishment of Chinese electronics industrial park.
Wang says the establishment of an industrial park in overseas countries will help Chinese electronics companies diversify their production bases and disperse the pressure of Chinese trade and remove unnecessary trade barriers. However, he has not disclosed much details on how exactly they plan to set up the overseas industrial parks.
