MII Launches 63 Energy Saving Technologies

China's Ministry of Information Industry has included the first batch of 63 energy-saving technologies, products and solutions, ranging from computers, software and service industries to home appliance equipment and chemical industries, into its tome titled "Recommended Catalog of the Energy-Saving and Consumption-Reducing Electronic Information Technology, Products and Application Solution".
MII says that the information departments at various levels should give full policy support to these technologies, products and applications solutions listed in the catalog, which mainly include the technology plans and solutions for the energy saving and consumption reduction of electronic products and application systems; electronic products with energy-saving and consumption reducing feature; typical cases concerning traditional industries' use of information technology to realize energy saving; other typical application measures involving the use of information technology to realize energy saving; and consumption reduction.
Over a dozen listed companies, including Inspur Group, Great Wall, Baosight, Hisense, Meiling, Haier, Huagong Tech and Angang Steel Company Limited, have also been included into the catalog as the owners of the respective energy-saving items.
