An inspection conducted by the Sichuan Provincial Administration for Industry and Commerce on the quality of mobile phone batteries and chargers sold across Sichuan Province shows that 75% of the mobile phone batteries and only 18.3% of the mobile phone chargers are qualified and meant relevant standards.
The problem with the mobile phone batteries is reported by local media to mainly lie in that they do not meet the C/20 discharge standard, an important index that may affect the longevity of the mobile phone batteries. Among the 60 kinds of batteries checked, 15 were found to be unqualified.
In addition, of all the 60 types of mobile phone chargers that were checked, 49 kinds, accounting for about 80% of the total, had insufficient fire-proof capacity.
