Datang Telecom and Ericsson (ERICY) have announced the establishment of Datang-Ericsson LTE Joint Research Center for LTE/TDD technology, which is one direction of development after TD-SCDMA.
Zhen Caiji, president and CEO of Datang Telecom, said that Datang Telecom would build a closer strategic partnership with Ericsson to push forward the research and development of LTD and IMT-Advanced technology; promote the industrialization and marketing of TD-SCDMA; and push the Chinese TD-SCDMA industry into the international market.
Datang Telecom previously signed a memorandum of understanding with Ericsson in Sweden on the cooperation on LTE and IMT-Advanced technology. The establishment of the joint research center is part of MOU signed between them.
