Virtuos has opened a new development center in Chengdu and signed an agreement with the Chengdu Government to make long-term commitments to the development of the game industry in the city.
Virtuos Chengdu is already operational and has started servicing international clients in the 3D Art and development areas. The development center occupies an entire floor in a modern high-rise building located in downtown Chengdu.
The current team in Virtuos Chengdu comprises experienced staff trained at Virtuos Shanghai where a significant number of artists and engineers originated from Chengdu reportedly expressed an interest to go back.
The company intends to expand further to establish its brand as one of the world's top game outsourcing company in quality, size and revenue. Backed by Legend Capital, the venture capital arm of China's largest IT group and following the success of Virtuos Shanghai, Virtuos is preparing to establish or acquire new development centers.
"Virtuos is executing faultlessly on its business plan and we are thrilled to enter this new phase of growth," said Xia Yang, managing director at Legend Capital.
