China Netcom Implements Its Three Pledges

China Netcom has announced that it has completed work related to its three pledges of booking service, local phone call charging records and moving a telephone without changing the number in the same town.
China Netcom has reportedly spent about CNY160 million on implementing the three pledges over the last year. It has upgraded its relevant hardware facilities and service systems. In the meantime, it has also exempted the monthly fee for telephones that have been moved within the same town without changing the number in order to provide convenience to customers.
A representative form the company says though China Netcom has made great achievements in implementing the three promises, it will still focus on improving its service quality. Ma emphasizes that as an official partner of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, China Netcom will do its best to serve the Olympics and ensure a smooth communications during the games.
