Intel Transfers Equipment, Technology To Founder

Intel has signed an agreement on equipment sales and technology transfer with Founder Microelectronics in Shenzhen.
According to the agreement, Intel will provide the second-phase manufacturing equipment and technology to Founder's round silicon chip factory located in Shenzhen. And it will provide training to Founder's manufacturing and project designers.
The agreement also includes a technology transfer agreement that involves the transferring and procedure permission of many of Intel's technologies, which can be used for making highly reliable micro-controllers, CMOS and BiCMOS.
The parties have not disclosed the detailed amount of funds involved in the agreement. In September 2005, Founder inked a letter of intent with Intel's headquarters in the U.S. on the purchase of Intel's six-inch equipment and core technical equipment.
