Motorola Acquires Two Hangzhou STB Companies

Motorola (MOT) has formally acquired the respective set-top box assets of Zhejiang Dahua Digital Technology Company and Hangzhou Imagesilicon Technology Company, but it has not disclosed any further details regarding the transaction.
Originating from the STB Department of Zhejiang Dahua Technology Holding Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Dahua Digital is a high-tech enterprise engaged in the development, manufacturing, sale and service of STB in China. Hangzhou Imagesilicon is another high-tech enterprise in Zhejiang Province that is committed to audio frequency processing and multi-media system chip design.
Motorola will integrate Dahua Digital into its broadband and mobile network department and make it an integral part of its digital television operation in China.
