Japanese electronics manufacturer Sharp says it is going to come to China's mobile phone market before the opening of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Miyuki Nakayama, a spokesperson from Sharp, says that with the improvement of the image of the company's Aquos brand LCD television in China, Sharp believes that its mobile phone business will achieve desired results in the country. Miyuki Nakayama adds that Sharp may start selling mobile phones in the Chinese market from June 2008.

Since Kyocera withdrew from the Chinese market, Sharp will be one of the only Japanese companies selling mobile phones in China.
